Operational Emergency Center (OEC) has been promoting stability and self-reliance in Seattle/King County for the past 35 years.
Food was provided to Julia, a minimum wage worker, underemployed, stretching her food money for three children and a dependent grandmother. Food and clothing was provided to Tran, Choi, Sergey and Juan, legal refugees and immigrants finding their way in a new place. OEC is able to help and assist others from the money we raise, because it comes from individuals and churches – from families whose loved ones were helped from individuals who are no longer homeless from company employees and from congregations who shine their lights by helping others. In a community of such great abundance, there remain hungry individuals and families, mothers in need of diapers for their children, vulnerable seniors and families unable to heat their homes. OEC is helping to meet the needs of people in transition by offering a provision of supportive services that response to immediate needs without restrictions due to zip codes, residency and income guidelines. |
